CMA Refresh Calendar and Tracker - Check the Status of the Latest Refresh
Resources to better understand the CMA refresh schedule and Process.
Our objective is to conduct weekly CMA refreshes, though the schedule may vary due to occasional processing or extract delivery delays.
As a general guideline, CMA workbooks refresh on Wednesday nights, making the updated data available Thursday morning. Each refresh reflects the next Circana week ending date, which falls on a Sunday. As a result, there is approximately a one-to-two-week lag between the current date and the workbook's week ending date.
CMA: Data Refresh Tracker
To view the status of the upcoming refresh, see CMA: Data Refresh Tracker.
Refer to the Circana Delivery Schedule for the expected refresh dates for 2025-2026. Please note that Circana often adjusts this schedule later in the year to accommodate for the holidays in November and December.
Circana provides an expected file delivery date, but this depends on when the files are available. Once we receive the extract, we begin processing and testing before deploying it to production for the weekly CMA refresh.
To delve into more detail, the Circana Delivery Schedule shows that Circana typically provides extracts on a Monday, containing data through the Sunday of the prior week. For instance, following the snapshot below, the week ending November 2, 2025 extract is expected to be delivered on November 10, 2025. However, Circana may experience delivery delays, which can result in late file arrivals and subsequently delay the refresh process. This variability is why a strict cadence cannot always be maintained. Our refresh schedule depends on the timely delivery of complete and accurate extracts from Circana.
Refer to the CMA Refresh Types article for more information on the various types of refreshes.
For example:
The 'Expected Circana File Delivery' shown in the image below (November 10, 2025) represents the anticipated date for receiving the extract delivery from Circana. Assuming there are no issues or delays, refresh production would occur on Wednesday night, November 12, making the updated data available on Thursday morning, November 13. In this scenario, the week ending date reflected in the data would be Sunday, November 2, 2025.
