If an image is too large to be sent as an email attachment, we suggest using your computer's Snipping Tool to capture and save a JPG image which still includes all of the item's pertinent information.
If you're preparing to share a very large file with us (say, a PDF package flat of an entire 12pk box), you may consider using your Microsoft Snipping Tool to capture one section of the image to show the pertinent information like brand name, count, ounces, and UPC code, and then save that snipped image as a JPG file. This reduces the file size drastically before you send it, while still including all of the pertinent information which Circana needs to code the item.
An example: We started with a very large PDF file (around 20 megabytes) of a 12pk flat image. The Snipping Tool was used to capture just one section of the image and save that capture as this JPG image. By snipping out just one section of the entire package flat PDF and saving it as a JPG image, we still capture all of the 12pk's pertinent information: "Pulp Art Hazy IPA", "12x cans, 12 ounces", "Alcohol 6.5% Vol.", and the UPC code, which drastically reduced the file size before we sent it to Circana. This is a good approach if you’re trying to figure out how to send large files to InfoSource Data Solutions as email attachments.
