On the Footprint Dashboard, How Does the "Main Brand Families In/Out" Filter Work?

The filter enables you to see data for other brand families beyond your own, or to see total combined numbers for all brands in the category across the geographies in your subscription.

When you first open the Footprint Dashboard, you'll see that the Brand Family filter will only include brand families belonging to your Circana "Vendor". And, the bar chart will only display geographies where those brand families have recorded sales in the selected time period.

Let's begin by focusing on the Main Brand Families In/Out filter

  • The Main Brand Families In/Out filter (located right below the Brand Family filter), will have "IN" selected by default. But, if you check the "ALL" box and hit the APPLY button, it will change the list in the Brand Family filter to show all brand families in the Beer Category universe. Now, you can select another brand family if you wish, to see how a competitor or benchmark brand family is performing across your geographies. For some brand families, only some of the geographies in your geography selection may show up on the bar chart,  because it only displays geographies which have recorded sales by the selected brand family in the selected time period.
  • Next, if you select "ALL" in the Brand Family filter, the bar chart will show totals for all brand families in the category combined. Then, you can use attribute and package filters to quickly see how a specific package size, style, or attribute is performing and trending for the category.
