Spirits CMA Updates August 2023

We're making a few minor updates to the Spirits CMA's core set of sixteen dashboards. These updates are scheduled to be published on Tuesday, August 15th.

For greater consistency, the locations of several filters and parameters (on the right side of the dashboards) have changed in our core set of  sixteen Spirits dashboards. On some dashboards, additional filters have been added as well:

Item Audit:

  • Add a Spirits Category Filter above the Supplier filter

Footprint:

  • Move Footprint dashboard next to the Item Audit dashboard, so it shows up between “Item Audit” and “Spirits Category Analysis” in the Tableau Buttons running across the top of the screen.
  • Add a Supplier Filter above Brand Family filter, so user can set Main Brand Families In/Out to “All”, choose any Supplier in the Supplier filter, and have the Brand Family filter only show relevant values for that Supplier. Then, to choose a different supplier, user can select “All” in the Brand Family filter, which will open the Supplier filter so user can choose any supplier
  • Add a Spirits Category Filter above the Supplier filter
  • Add a Brand Levels Parameter below the “3rd Column Measure” parameter
  • Add a Brands & SKUs filter below the Brand Levels parameter
  • Change the name of the “Ranker 3rd Column” parameter to “3rd Column Measure

Spirits Category Analysis:

  • Name of dashboard has changed, from “Spirits/Category Analysis” to “Spirits Category Analysis”
  • Move Spirits Subcategory Filter under New or Existing Brand Filter
  • Move Price Per Case filter under Proof filter

Price Segment Analysis:

  • Move Spirits Subcategory Filter under New or Existing Brand Filter

Attribute Analysis:

  • Move Spirits Subcategory Filter under New or Existing Brand Filter
  • Move Package Type and Package Size Group filters below Spirits Attribute Level filter

Package Analysis:

  • Add a Spirits Flavor filter
  • Remove Spirit Attribute Levels Parameter and Spirit Attribute Level filter (not necessary on this dashboard because we already have a filter on the dashboard for each attribute level)
  • Move Spirits Subcategory Filter under New or Existing Brand Filter
  • Move Package Type and Package Size Group filters below Spirits Flavor filter
  • Move Price Per Case filter under Price Segment filter

Sales per Pt vs CWD:

  • Remove Spirit Attribute Levels Parameter and Spirit Attribute Level filter (not necessary on this dashboard because we already have a filter on the dashboard for each attribute level)
  • Add a Spirits Flavor filter
  • Add a Supplier filter under Spirits Category Filter
  • Move Package Type and Package Size Group filters below Spirits Flavor filter
  • Move Point Measure parameter below Show Mark Labels parameter
  • Move Price Per Case filter under Price Segment filter

Rankers:

  • Add a Spirits Flavor filter (below Spirits Type filter)
  • Remove Spirit Attribute Levels Parameter and Spirit Attribute Level filter (not necessary on this dashboard because we already have a filter on the dashboard for each attribute level)
  • Move Spirits Subcategory Filter under New or Existing Brand filter
  • Move Package Type and Package Size Group filters below Spirits Flavor filter
  • Move Supplier filter under Spirits Category filter
  • Move Price Per Case filter under Price Segment filter
  • Add a Dollar Trend vs LY filter above the Rank filter

Dollar Rank Comp & Dollar Ranker with CWD:

  • Add a Spirits Flavor filter (below Spirits Type Filter)
  • Remove Spirit Attribute Levels Parameter and Spirit Attribute Level filter (not necessary on this dashboard because we already have a filter on the dashboard for each attribute level)
  • Move Spirits Subcategory filter under New or Existing Brand Filter
  • Move Package Type and Package Size Group filters below Spirits Flavor filter
  • Move Supplier filter under Spirits Category filter
  • Move Price Per Case filter under Price Segment filter
  • On Dollar Rank Comp, change the name of the “Ranker 3rd Column” parameter to “3rd Column Measure”
  • On Dollar Rank Comp, add a Dollar Trend vs LY filter above the Rank filter

Dimensions Over Time:

  • Change the default for the Over Time Dimension parameter to “Brand Level”
  • Add a Spirits Flavor filter (below Spirits Type filter)
  • Remove Spirit Attribute Levels Parameter and Spirit Attribute Level filter (not necessary on this dashboard because we already have a filter on the dashboard for each attribute level)
  • Move Package Type and Package Size Group filters below Spirits Flavor filter
  • Move Supplier filter under Spirits Category filter

Price Analysis:

  • Add a Spirits Flavor filter (below Spirits Type filter)
  • Remove Spirit Attribute Levels Parameter and Spirit Attribute Level filter (not necessary on this dashboard because we already have a filter on the dashboard for each attribute level)
  • Move New or Existing Brand filter under Domestic vs Import Filter
  • Move Supplier filter under Spirits Category Filter

Column and Row (C&R) Dashboards:

Please note that, in the interest of consistency across Beer, Wine, and Spirits, we're updating the naming structures of the header columns in C&R, C&R by SKU, and C&R Geogs. View a detailed list of those changes here.

The following details describe changes in the locations of several filters and parameters, plus a few new measures which have been added, in the Spirits column and row dashboards.

C&R:

The following measures have been added to C&R, just to the right of the Incremental Dollars merch condition measures:

  • CWD Display Only (MAX)
  • CWD Feature Only (MAX)
  • CWD Any Display (MAX)
  • CWD Any Feature (MAX)
  • CWD Feature and Display (MAX)
  • CWD Feature and or Display (MAX)
  • CWD Any Price Reduction (MAX)
  • CWD Price Reduction Only (MAX)

Additional Changes to C&R:

  • Add a Spirits Flavor filter (below Spirits Type filter)

The following measures have been added to this dashboard:

  • Number of Stores Selling by SKU
  • Volume per Store Selling - SKU (Max)

C&R by SKU:

  • Add a Spirits Flavor filter (below Spirits Type filter)
  • Remove Spirit Attribute Levels Parameter and Spirit Attribute Level filter (not necessary on this dashboard because we already have a filter on the dashboard for each attribute level)
  • Add a Brands & SKUs filter below Brand Family Filter
