Item Types
- Type 20= Whse; Walmart auto order, Warehouse delivers the product to the store
- Type 07 = DSD; Distributor creates their own order and delivers product to the store
- Type 33= Assembly whse. Product flows through the Distribution Center but doesn’t have a ‘home’.
Item Sub-Types explain order method on shelf label:
- 00= regular items
- 87= supplier managed, POS replenishment
- 97= supplier managed, no store review
- 01= replenishable item order on handheld
- 04= supercenter high-velocity DC
- 05 = Warehouse - Priority Assembly
- 14 = Ship and Bill Direct - Modular Item
o M – Modular Driven; validity is driven by stores drawn on modular.
o I – Item Driven; validity is driven by traits/classing on the item.
o P – Pending; not valid anywhere. Indicates an item that was removed from all modular
o H – Hold; not valid yet. Flips to “M” 11 days prior to the new mod effective date
To identify Hold items, in Quick Item Information (Quick Item Report) pull the metric below:
Type 7 is a sell-in item type in Whse states. They wouldn't be on the mod or traited under that item type and would not show up with any type of authorized filter. It also will not auto-replenish.
Every item is assigned an “item type”. An item type is a number that describes the way in which the item is ordered and shipped to our stores. You might hear your item referred to as a “Type 03 Item”. What does that mean? Generally, items fall into one of four overarching categories – Non-Replenishable, Assembly, Warehouse, and Import. These categories, as well as the item types within them, are listed below:
