Which Retailers Are Being Sampled for Multi-Retailer Convenience Geographies?

Circana doesn't share lists of the retailers being sampled for their -blended-retailer convenience geographies, but clues are available.

With the exception of "RMA" geographies, Circana convenience geographies pull data from multiple chains and potentially independents as well, and nearly three-fourths of every dollar is based on projection. This means that a small sample of retailer locations is used to project for a wide area.

Circana doesn't offer a simple way to see which convenience banners are included in the sample for these multi-retailer convenience geographies. A workaround is this Multi Outlet Universe guide, which is a list of the major retailers (including convenience retailers) that share data with Circana.

For example, since Circle K is listed in the guide, we know that Circle K data would be part of the sample Circana is using to project for a convenience market where Circle K locations exist.
